Spirits in the Stone is a multifaceted project, exploring story-telling through a transmedia approach – combining a film, an exhibition and an interactive multimedia website.

A 90-minute feature will be presented through cinematic, television and DVD releases. It will be broadcast and distributed internationally.

A multimedia exhibition will travel to museums and galleries around the world.
It will present striking images, video installations and 3D footage featuring Jawoyn culture and the sacred art of the cave. It will also display ancient cultural artefacts found on Jawoyn lands.

The Spirits in the Stone website is being developed with a strong educational focus that enhances the information, topics and issues explored in the film and exhibition..
On completion, the site will encourage visitors to explore featured cultural sites and rock paintings, learn about cultural artefacts, follow the archaeological digs and understand Jawoyn culture through an array of multimedia resources.
The site was launched in January 2011, coinciding with the release of the Spirits in the Stone film trailer on Oprah Winfrey's website, following the filmmaker's support of the program's visit to Gabarnmung during Oprah's Ultimate Adventure in Australia. It is also linked to Facebook and Twitter.
